Sierpień rozpoczął się pełną parą i pomimo wszelkich niedogodności czas rozpocząć nasz plan biegowy i zawalczyć o zwycięstwo (czyt. dobiegnięcie do mety) w grudniu.

Treningi idą do przodu.

No i oczywiście weekend! Carmen, Blanca i ja pobiegłyśmy do Wheatley, miejscowości po drugiej stronie Shotover. Wracałyśmy przez łąki pełne krów. Miła i przyjemna trasa z jednym, długim podbiegiem. Miło zaliczone 10km w 1h14min i 145m podbiegu.

W czwartym tygodniu przygotowań naprawdę się działo! Zarżnęłam się przy Jillian Michaels NO MORE TROUBLE ZONES – kocham z nią ćwiczyć!

September has began and there is no choice just follow the running program and fight for our victory in December (ex. Manage to cross the finish line)! We have decided that each of us will take care of short runs during weekdays and we will try to do a long, weekend runs together. I know how difficult and boring is to run many kilometres alone. I really believe that everyone will manage to go through our preparation. That run in December will be super difficult, I repeat this over and over again but IT IS GOING TO BE A KILLER! I’m a bit worrying about myself, Marcin and a few other people. I usually stick to plan for first few weeks and then I get boring and change whole plan. Marcin is working like a madman and doesn’t have a time for training, he cycle work 14 km daily at least, always something. Many people in the group never run more than 5k. Well, always needs to be the first time…

This is a first week summary. The trainings are progressing (woow!). I have got an impression that not everybody believe me about what I said above – this run will be super difficult (do I repeat myself??) and they are a little bit lazy and slow. Well, trainings are painful but a whole body will be very painful if we won’t prepare well for this run. No pain no gain. Some of us went for run more than once, some did some walks and some went for an aero exercises. Over weekend myself, Blanca and Carmen went for 8k run in Shotover and it was real success! We did it in 1h13mins with 129 metres uphill. Well done girls!
After very successful first week I was looking in a bright future of our team. Next week was a little bit slower because all of us were busy at work but still some short runs during a week were taken and again weekend run went pretty well. The weather was amazing, not to hot, not to cold, a bit of clouds and a bit of sun together. The route was similar to previous one and we did 9k in 1h8mins and 148 metres uphills.

Third week was pretty busy regards to sport activities. I went once for cycling to Brill. With a quite big group (Ewa, Bonnie, Carmen, Blanca, David and I) we went for running in Bury Knowle Park. This park is perfect for those who are just starting because it’s almost flat (boring!) with one mini uphill’ish. We went for run after sunset and was totally dark! But we have managed to do 4 circles! Well done everybody! Another day I went to the same park and did speed ups, 9 instead of 8! I don’t know why I did it to myself…

And a weekend of course! Carmen, Blanca and I run to the Wheatley meadows, there was many cows! Why they are still there? It’s winter. It was a nice and easy route with only one large, long uphill. 10k in 1h14mins and 145m uphill.

Fourth week was super successful, full of workouts for me! But not for others… (Killer run is coming!). I was nearly killed myself with Jillian Michaels and her NO MORE TROUBLE ZONES. Oh, I love to exercise with her! Unfortunately rest of the group couldn’t run so I did two short runs by myself. I felt a little bit weaker, I think my iron level is dropping again! I did long weekend run in Shotover after the sunset, in darkness with a head torch. The battery wasn’t great so it was quite scaring. Usually I don’t go for a night runs alone but I need to be a prefect example for rest of my group and I felt I didn’t have a choice. I was just praying for no ghosts. Thanks God, there was none!

I heard a lot about this soup but never had the chance to try it. Black soup – czernina.
It’s traditionally made with duck or goose broth and blood, plus sugar, vinegar, and dried fruit.

Sounds awful, right? But I love trying new things!

I lost a bit of confidence when a plate of brown sludge landed in front of me… I had no idea what I was scared of – the taste? Or the fact it’s made with blood?

One spoonful – and off we go. Sweet and sour flavour, a bit of pasta.

Eaten – but I think it’ll be the first and last time. 😅

Story of my life…😂
Bought a house to renovate — and now every sunny weekend is spent doing things most people would never call “fun.
At least I get plenty of exercise and a sense of accomplishment. I would still prefer to go to the park,😂 though!

It’s the craziest time in the mountains! On one side, spring is in full bloom🌺; on the other, it’s still deep winter⛄. The snow was so deep that it was hard to walk, but it made everything even funnier. For those who don’t speak Polish, Marcin is saying:
Is there anything better than a last-minute adventure in northern Italy? Via Ferrata Schweifinen was an unforgettable adventure 🏔️

What is a via ferrata? Imagine something between climbing and scrambling but with a safety twist—a sturdy metal cable bolted into the mountain that you clip into for the entire route.

The name via ferrata comes from Italian and means “iron way,” which fits perfectly with the metal cables, iron pins, and footholds you use along the way.

This route above Zermatt has three sections, each more challenging than the last, but it’s still a manageable medium-level climb. You can choose to stop after any section if you need to.

We completed the full tour in about 3 hours, including breaks, chats, and photos!

The best part? The views! We could see our campsite from up high and take in the jaw-dropping scenery— mountains, glaciers, and endless blue skies. There were some
What an incredible adventure!

We took a short cable car ride from Zermatt to Schwarzsee and then hiked to the Hörnli Hut, perched at 3,200 meters.

Every step was a challenge—moving forward one foot at a time, breathing heavily, and soaking in the stunning scenery despite the rain.

The Hörnli Hut stood out in the distance, sitting atop a massive rock with the iconic Matterhorn rising majestically behind it.

There was something hauntingly magical about the view. The Matterhorn is an immense challenge, and although the summit wasn’t meant for us this time, this isn’t the end of the story… 💪💪💪#matterhorn #swiss #swissalps #trek #zermatt #hörnlihütte #outdoors #loveoutdoors #mountains #trekking #alps #fun #love
